Who This Is For
This support is designed for parents of elementary-aged children who are:
diagnosed with or suspected of having ADHD, autism, or executive functioning challenges
capable in many areas, but struggling with follow-through at home
getting stuck around routines, transitions, homework, emotional regulation, or daily tasks
caught in repeated conflict, prompting, or power struggles
looking for a clearer way to understand and guide their child
What Looks Like “Behavior” Often Has a Different Explanation
Many parents are told their child needs more consistency, motivation, or consequences.
But often, what looks like resistance is actually a breakdown in the executive functioning processes needed to start, sustain, regulate, shift, and follow through.
When we identify where things are breaking down, your child’s behavior starts to make more sense — and your response can become more effective.
START
Can my child
get going?
Starting is often the hardest part. This is where kids get stuck, avoid, or need a lot of prompting.
The Rhythm of Doing™
Every task comes down to three simple questions:
When you know where things are breaking down, you can respond more effectively—and your child can build independence over time.
STAY
Can my child
keep going?
Once they begin, can they stay focused, manage frustration, and follow through?
FINISH
Can my child
wrap it up?
Can they complete the task, check their work, and transition to what’s next?
How Parent Consulting Works
Parent consulting is a structured process designed to help you understand what is getting in the way, build the right supports, and create changes that can last beyond our work together.
Step 1: Discovery Call
We begin with a free discovery call to determine whether our services are the right fit for your family and your needs.
Step 3: Weekly Support & Problem-Solving
From there, we work together across 12 weekly sessions. Each session is a chance to reflect on what went well, identify what still needs support, and make a plan for the week ahead.
Step 2: Assessment & Planning
Next, we meet for an assessment session where we identify areas of strength, areas of need, and develop a clear plan for moving forward.
Step 4: Maintenance & Next Steps
In the final session, we review progress, create a maintenance plan, and discuss whether any additional support would be helpful.
What Parents Often Gain
The goal is not perfection. The goal is a home that feels more understandable, more manageable, and less adversarial.
Parents often leave with:
-
a clearer understanding of their child
-
less guesswork in the moment
-
supports that are more targeted and realistic
-
more confidence in how to guide their child
-
better follow-through and less daily friction over time
